Five candies on womens day!

Happy women's day to all the smarties and beauties there..
Few lines I read in CB's blog .. thought i will share it accross. Here are five rules which are benificial to women kind.
The first behaviour that needs to end is the constant desire to judge other women. Women are hard on themselves. They are harder on each other. An overweight woman enters the room. Most women are thinking 'how fat is she?' A working mother misses a PTA meeting due to an office deadline, others think 'what a terrible mother she is'. A girl in a short skirt makes other women go 'Slut!' in their heads. A pretty woman's promotion makes other women wonder what she had been up to to get the job. From an ill-fitting dress to a badly cooked dish, you are ready to judge others. This, despite knowing, you yourselves are not perfect. As a woman, it is tough enough is to survive in a male dominated world. Why be so hard on each other? Can you let each other breathe?
Second, the faking needs to end. A common female trait is the relatively quick adaptation to feed male egos. Laughing at men's jokes when they aren't funny, accepting a raw deal in an office assignment or playing dumb to allow a man to feel superior are just a few occasions when you do your own kind no favor. Who are you? And why can't you be that person? Why are you faking it so much? If something bothers you, say it. What's the point of collectively harping on equality, when as individuals, you are happy to lapse into being clueless eye flutterers, just to keep men happy?
Three, and this is serious, standing up for your property rights. Plenty of Indian women give up their lawful property rights for their brothers, sons or husbands. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but too many Indian women are emotional fools and need to be told so. You are not demonstrating your eternal selflessness when you give away your property. You are hurting your own kind.
Four, women need to become more ambitious and dream bigger. All young Indians - men and women, should have a fire in their belly. Perhaps the way the Indian society is structured, our women are not encouraged to be as ambitious as men. However, for their own sake and the nation's sake, all Indian youth must have ambitions and aspirations to do well and reach their maximum potential in life. Many Indian women have done much better than men. Use them as inspiration and work towards your dreams. Your success is what will finally make Indian men respect women. Play your part.
Five, don't be too trapped in the drama of relationships. Relationships are vital. Being a good mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend and lover are extremely important. However, don't get too tangled. You have another relationship, with yourself. Don't sacrifice so much that you lose yourself. Not regularly, but just every now and then, be a little selfish. It is when a woman will assert herself she will be taken seriously. You are not only here to assist others in living their lives. You have your own life too.
Cheers!

Over the weekend

Made some mouth watering akki rottis.. It was totally unplanned. Since My father inlaw kept asking me since quite sometime now.. And I was not all that busy either, and decided to surprise him. I called up my mother-in-law and told, let me cook and surprise you all today. She was very kind enough to get all the required items to get it chopped from the cook by the time I get back home.

I happily started.. Remembered every ingredient that my mother had mentioned. And followed the process.
Took about an hour so that all of them were fed. At the end, I had a success akki rotti story.. Was given many praises and rewards :D

During summer, rains bring joy. Enjoyed the short showers. Riding bike in the night is always fun. No traffic or there is very less traffic. And you dont have to worry about getting tanned or covering yourself with full arms.

May be because of the workout from past 3 days, the cramps all over my body, did not let me complete the painting. I arranged paints, cloth, brushes, palette and set the position of my canvas and decorated the place with mat and cushion. Made up mind to beign. And I get call from my dear love. That went on for hrs together. And ended up in not touching my paints.

Watching old movies is fun. Sometimes, we get back to our good old days, recall the ones whom we watched it with. They sort of have some effect on our lives.

Helping old or elderly and teaching young students gives a complete sense of satisfaction. The thankfulness and gratitude makes you feel good.

Random Things to do When U feel low or Messed UP :D

This is not from any of the famous writer's column nor any of the super figure's words.. Just trust and try it, I am sure u will not regret!!

Not all days are green and not all are born with a silver spoon. When life pushes you over , you push back harder...
  •  Most important one and the very first one to do: Clear all the clutter in ur room and work station( be  it ur office cubicle, kitchen , office room), bath room etc..
  • Stay away from mobile phones, Internet(yes for sometime ;-))
  • A long shower with ur fav music on
  • Dedicate time to hobbies
  • Avoid useless interaction which puts you down.
  • Talk to like minded people
  • Crib.. It's ok to crib with the one who can understand you and trust me it feels better :D. But do not make it a routine. It kills time and deviates you leading nowhere.
  • PAMPER PAMPER PAMPER... Pamper yourself in every possible way..
  • Sweat out. Gives a feel good factor. Builds confidence. Better health.
  • Eat right and at right time.
  • Get sufficient sleep
  • Help people around you. Be it a small one, just lend you hands and the soul with in U just smiles.
  • Talk good, Think good
  • Apart from these jot down all you want to do and whats stopping you from achieving them. Work it out one by one.

Have a good day !!
Cheers
